our suite of services may be summarised as follows: -

Data Services

Data backup and archiving is a service offered to corporate clients via automated backup software. Services are provided to suit each Clients' individual needs, suitable solutions with best backup and archiving options are investigated to provide maximum data security and storage efficiency.

All data is checked against the latest anti virus definitions at time of data restoration. This will ensure that data is successfully restored virus free according to the virus definitions available at time of restoration. The data reading and storage devices of individual clients may also be scanned as often as site visits are conducted with anti virus software as installed on site. All anti virus software is ensured to be updated at all times with the latest anti virus definitions per the anti virus definitions as installed on each individual site.

Licensing requirements of each machine, for both operating systems as well as third party systems are ascertained and outlined with benefits and pitfalls of non licensing explained; and a detailed costing given for the legitimate licensing of all types of operating systems and other installed applications. We currently operate a terabyte storage facility to cater for the dedicated needs of our client’s data storage and recovery.

Networking

Further to Wireless LAN's various wireless network solutions, data storage and recovery options, further network services also includes;

  • Cabled network infrasructure

  • Networking topologies: - TCPIP, NETBEUI and IPX/SPX.

  • Internet accessibility via dial-up, dedicated lines, ADSL, proxy applications as well as firewall-controlled access.

  • Domain level security and network access via NT4, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003.

  • Support of dynamic DNS and VPN security set-up.

  • Cisco router support.

On site support of the following applications that are network resident: -

  • Client based operating systems – Windows 95/98, Windows NT4 Workstation, Windows 2000 Pro and Windows XP.

  • Server based operating systems – Windows NT4 Server, Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2003 Server.

  • Supported mail solutions – Microsoft Exchange Server 5/5.5/2000 and 2003, Mdaemon and Linux based mail.

  • Supported mail clients – Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook and Mdaemon World Client.

  • Supported security applications – Microsoft ISA Firewall and Norton Firewalls.

  • The complete range of Microsoft Office products are supported.

Hardware

All Wireless LAN staff are adequately trained to identify the exact hardware solution and requirements.   Hardware supply includes;

  • Wireless equipment - ISM band 2.4 Ghz, 5.8 Ghz, 5.1 Ghz and 5.4 Ghz. Point to Point and Point to Multipoint applications and distances of up to 75km, line-of-sight.

  • Warehouse automation equipment i.e. wireless access points, scanners, handheld computers, barcode printers, barcode labels.

  • Security cameras 

  • Computers

  • Switches, Routers and Servers

All hardware is carefully selected to ensure that Clients receive excellent quality,value for money and the latest technology standards. 

Wireless CCTV

Wireless LAN has extensive experience in designing and implementing security systems incorporating IP Based CCTV circuits.  Security camera systems are of the latest technology standards, providing various levels of image enhancers and 'FLIR' (night time viewing) options.  A wireless CCTV security system can be designed to meet the Customers' exact needs and objectives.
