AWE 45-24

The Hopper Plus family of wireless Ethernet bridges can provide wireless network connectivity at a fraction of the price of a T1 or any wired solution, with absolutely no monthly charges. An AWE 45-24 system will supply wireless bridging for 255 remote Ethernet networks using Wi-LAN's proprietary point-to-multipoint radio protocol, range permitting. The robust spread spectrum technology Wi-LAN has patented is interference resistant and allows wireless connections with no radio licensing hassles. The 45-24 operates in the 2.4-2.4835 GHz radio band.

Wi-LAN's AWE 45-24 represents a significant advance in network bridging technology. Features include IP address filtering, throughput throttling and monitoring and a flash-code upgrade path. It offers high levels of security and reliability and is extremely cost-effective. With a peak data rate of 4.5 Megabits per second (Mbps) and one of the industry's most efficient usages of bandwidth, the AWE 45-24 delivers consistent throughput rates that are significantly higher than competitive models that list faster peak data rates. Both SNMP and the RS-232 management port allow users to manage, configure and monitor the whole Hopper Plus network with ease.
