AWE 120-24

The AWE 120-24 wireless Ethernet Bridge can provide wireless network connectivity at eight times the speed of a T1, and at a fraction of the price of a wired solution. Although well suited for both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networks, Wi-LAN's proprietary point-to-multipoint radio protocol delivers the best continuous throughput on the market.

Operating in the unlicensed 2.4 GHz band at a peak data rate of 12 Megabits per second (Mbps), the AWE 120-24 is built with Wi-LAN's patented Multi-code Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (MC-DSSS) technology, making it spectrally efficient and more resistant to interference. MC-DSSS makes it possible to increase the data throughput of traditional spread spectrum systems by as much as ten times.

Wi-LAN's AWE 120-24 can supply wireless bridging for up to 225 remote Ethernet networks, and represents a significant advance in network bridging technology. Features of the AWE 120-24 include IP address filtering, throughput throttling and monitoring, high security and reliability, and a flash-code upgrade path. Both SNMP and the RS-232 management port allow users to manage, configure, and monitor their whole Hopper Plus network with ease.
