EION Ranger 1030 Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multipoint System

The EION Ranger 1030 is a complete and robust wireless Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multipoint System that provides a transparent Layer-2 bridge to link Ethernet LANs together.  It operates in the unlicensed 2.4GHz frequency.  The units are configured for either an integral 18 dBi gain flat panel antenna or an external antenna.  The system comes pre-configured to work "right out of the box".

The Ranger 1030 is ideal for connecting office LANs (Local Area Networks) together, or for linking a Wireless MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) to an Internet backbone.  Power is brought up to the radio enclosure via the Ethernet cable, using Power over Ethernet (POE) standard.   The Ranger 1030 has been engineered to operate in extreme weather conditions.

Ranger 1030 Main Features

  • 802.11b Compatibility
  • Intrusion detection via MAC authentication and RADIUS
  • Up to 4.5 Mbps actual throughput
  • Ruggedized - designed to operate in extreme weather conditions
  • Range of up to 9 km

EION Ranger 5145 Point-to-Point System

The EION Ranger 5145 is a point-to-point, high capacity, all outdoor radio optimized for backhaul of Ethernet or traditional telecommunications converged voice and data networks.   It features license-free radio operation in the UNII or ISM 5GHz bands using 10/100 Base-T digital interface (DS3 available as an option), and provides a full-duplex 45Mbps link regardless of the distance.

With Telco-grade design and performance, the EION Ranger 5145 is the ideal high-capacity solution for Wireless Internet Service Provider Networks, telecom carriers looking to add capacity to their networks, and for enterprises wanting to enhance Internet access throughout their networks.  Power is brought up to the radio enclosure via the Ethernet cable, using Power over Ethernet standard.  Because the radio is located next to the antenna, extending the Ethernet cable will not affect the operating range.

Ranger 5145 Main Features

  • Easy to install and configure
  • 5.3 GHz band full-duplex Radio for short-medium range links
  • 5.7 GHz band full-duplex Radio for links up to 60km
  • Very low latency performance
  • 45 Mbps actual payload throughput each way (90 Mbps aggregate)
  • Antenna and Ethernet cables are designed for outdoor use
  • FCC Part 15 certified for license-free operation
  • Can be configured and monitored remotely; SNMP compliant
  • Operating temperature range: -33°C to +60°C
  • Supports a broad array of antennas and flexible deployment options
